Former SPO4 Arthur Lascanas will face the Senate to test his credibilty as the Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs starts the probe today. It will includethe inquiry into his claims the killing of broadcaster Jun Palaand hundreds of others through the so-called Davao Death Squad
(DDS) allegedly ordered by then mayor now president Rodrigo Roa DUterte.
It is also expected to testify are officials from the Commission on Human Rights and Philippine National Policewho were to submit their official reports
on previous killings.
“It boils down to a test of Lascañas’ credibility, not to mention his motivation for recanting his Oct. 3, 2016 testimony before the justice committee,” Sen. Panfilo Lacson, chairman of the
committee, said.
