Loudmouth Loida
Loida Nicolas Lewis is an elitist.
She is so rich that she does not have moral authority over the plight of Filipinos and the Philippines, in general. She is so protected by her wealth that she does not truly understand what this country needs.
Its easy to be critical, to bravely call for something that will greatly affect 100 million lives when one sleeps comfortably in a penthouse overlooking a park in the heart of New York City. She will easily believe mainstream media, or the opinion of her elite friends back in the Philippines because she hasn’t been home really – except for a few visits every now and then to do short-lived feeding program for the poor or support a few NGOs.
It is easier to call for the resignation of President Duterte because Loida did not want and could not accept that an ordinary promdi from Mindanao became President. She never wanted him to win anyway and she had released poison mails during the campaign. She supported another elitist, Mar Roxas, whom she called the “disente” one. She pushed for her kababayan Leni Robredo to be Mar’s running mate and channeled millions of pesos to the Mar-Leni campaign.
Coincidentally, Loida funded Leni’s campaign when she first ran for congressman. Loida now calls for the resignation of President Duterte and says Leni can do the job better. When Leni becomes President, she sees it as an opportunity to be in power and to protect her own interests.
Loida is desperate. She has lost. She invested so much on Hillary Clinton the same way she spent $25 million for Barack Obama’s campaign. She invested so much on Mar Roxas. Now Leni is her only hope. After reports came out that she led ouster plans against President Duterte, she now makes a statement. She says she never planned for ouster and instead calls for the president’s resignation.
Loida is a strategic thinker – she would do everything and use her wealth to forward her own agenda. She uses the Filipino community in the US as her army by pretending that she truly cares for the Filipino people. The truth is, contrary to what she presents herself to be, Loida Nicolas Lewis is one dirty mama and a desperate political animal.
