A Conversation with a Leni Fanatic

Since our blog site's official launch last January 19, we posted one of our articles about Leni Robredo entitled PESTILENCE (Click here to read) in our Facebook page, We are Collective. We were having a bit of fun engaging some of her avid followers in the comments section, until this strange Bible quoting lady suddenly pops up the thread at about two o'clock in the morning. We would have wanted to simply ignore her but somehow we felt this irresistible urge to engage, like an itch that wouldn't go away unless we scratch it. In all fairness she was courteous, so out of respect we will not reveal her real name (let's just call her FanGirl), but we are sharing you a full unexpurgated transcript of the exchange, which we found rather amusing. We hope you enjoy this brief chat as much as we did.

FanGirl: OUR GOD SEES THE HEART OF LENI AND WILL FIGHT LENI'S HATERS FOR HER. GOD IS OUR SUPREME JUDGE. HE KNOWS WHAT'S IN EVERYONE'S HEART. SANA PO MATUTUWA SI GOD SA INYO MISTERS AND MISTRESSES COLLECTIVE.

We are Collective: Please do not bring the Lord God Almighty in this discussion. Baka ho tamaan kayo ng kidlat.

FanGirl: Ok lang, sinasabi ko lang sa inyo ang totoo, God knows what's inside in everyone's heart and from there, HE judges.

We are Collective: Then please do not act as God's mouthpiece and bring His Holy Name into this discussion. Hindi ho kayo si Moses. Pag narinig nya ho yang pinagsasabi nyo baka paulanan kayo ng fire and brimstone. Thou shalt not use the name of the Lord God in vain. Especially in defending Leni, who acts as if she is Nuestra Señora de Ciudad de Naga. Baka ho higupin kayo ng lupa.

We are Collective: Wag ho kayo magagalit Ms. FanGirl ha natutuwa lang ho kami sainyo. Aliw na aliw sainyo ang Team Collective. Pati ang Diyos sinasama nyo sa usapan gayung napakaraming legitimate issues tungkol kay Leni na pwedeng idiscuss. Kelangan ba talaga nating humantong sa ganitong usapan? :)

We are Collective: Para lang ho maitama ang usapan natin, yaman din lang na naibring up nyo ang puso ni Madam Leni, she should keep her heart in the right place. Hindi ho yung ang nilalaman ng puso nya ay ang kanyang ambisyon na pabagsakin si Tatay Digs para sya ang pumalit. May nagpakita ho bang anghel sa kanya at sinabing ito ang kanyang misyon sa mundo? E sa sinasabi nyo parang Diyos ang kalaban namin pagtinutuligsa namin si Leni. Marahil may anghel nga :)

FanGirl: Am just so sad that I presumed you are intelligent because it seems you are articulate in disseminating your info about VP Leni but it seems you are destitute of God's Word. Am sad because many people seem to be wise but before the eyes of God they are foolish. Please don't get offended. Really people nowadays say they believe in God. They only believe but they have no fear of God. The Bible clearly emphasized that as a believer of God he has to fear Him above all. God can do what man cannot. In the Bible, lying is one of God's most hated sins. Ka level po siya ng murderer. Alam nyo God said, don't be afraid of one who only can kill your physical body, but be afraid of somebody who (will) not only kill your body but can also kill your soul. Please think it over, so many things yet that I would like to share with you, maybe next time, God willing, Good morning.

FanGirl: And God said that we should not rely upon our own understanding, in everything - plans, decision making, daily activities, the kind of friends we are to go with, in spending, in saving, everything, we have to consult God in prayer. If you have your Bible with you please read Psalms 37. And if you really are reading God's Word in the Bible from OT to NT I assure you, you will encounter lots of verses that promised He will never forsake those who have complete trust in Him.

We are Collective: Since you keep invoking God in this discussion may we humbly ask you to enumerate the lies we said about Leni? What lies have we spoken that we will suffer God's wrath according to your gospel? Are we doomed to eternal damnation because of our criticism of Leni? Do we suffer the fires of hell because of this chastisement? Again, we must say. It is Leni who lies. She is a two-faced hypocrite who continues to lie to the Filipino people because of people like you who defend her blindly without looking at the issues. She lied about having a role in the ouster plot against the President. She lied about not meeting Loida Lewis in the US when she became VP. She lied about her modest circumstances. She lied about not joining the rallies. She lied about the real reason why she stayed in the US while her hometown was ravaged by Niña. Hell, even her position as VP was built on a foundation of lies and deceit. Your statements Ms. FanGirl are cringe worthy. They reek of hypocrisy. You speak as if you are the only one here who understands God's word when the truth is you are blinded by your fanaticism to Leni Robredo.

FanGirl: Am not a political minded person, am only sharing with you what I learned from the Word of God. As I had said don't get offended and to tell you God's Word surely offends those who do otherwise. It is only you in your heart can tell whether or not dissemination of information is true. Because the Bible says in Numbers 32:23... and be sure your sins will find you out. Again, am just too old to be (a) fanatic of anyone. I enjoyed sharing with you (a) few words of wisdom from the Lord rather than spending time rebutting issues which I know God is not happy about. Thank you.

We are Collective: With all due respect, Ms. FanGirl, all this pompous lecturing is just annoying. The reason why you cannot rebut is because you know nothing about the issues yet you pontificate and pretend as if you know better, even invoking God and bringing up the Bible in a political discourse. Not only does it border on the heretical, it is simply an exercise in bad taste. We would not dare invoke God in a debate such as this. Please read your very first comment and ask yourself if it is proper. You brand us as Leni haters and tell us that God will punish us for criticizing her. If you cannot defend Leni using valid arguments then please just give it a break and leave God out of this. If you are not a politically minded person as you claim to be, then why are you spewing all this pontifical crap in a political thread such as this? Why not discharge your opinions on a bible study page or a prayer group where it is appropriate? We're pretty sure the Lord God Almighty would not want to have anything to do with Leni or Loida or Leila or the LP. So please park it. Stop using God as a shield for Leni. It reeks of hypocrisy and it is simply appalling. Honestly, you are in the wrong page.
