We find ourselves in a dystopic post-EDSA civilization on the brink of being a narco-state. The covenant made in the streets of this bloodless revolution has been perverted by those who promised us transformative healing from the perceived ills of the Marcos regime. The pilgrims remain wandering and wondering for the lost promise of a new world. The leaders have grown dark and despotic, in the image of the government they deposed. The yellow which stood against the red and blue banner of FEM has fallen to decay. Today, fists are raised under the color red yet again. The hopes of a nation reduced to squalor have been reinvigorated by Duterte. It is time for a new testament, a rekindling of the flame extinguished by the post-EDSA failures. We are EDSA. And we stand behind the change today.
