Comelec's Plan B for 2019

With the Vote Counting Machines (aka Vote Cheating Machines) embroiled in yet another scandal involving election fraud, the COMELEC is looking at reviving the old Precinct Count Optical Scan (aka Philippine Comelec’s Organized Syndicate or Hocus-PCOS) for use in the 2019 midterm elections.

Without informing the public and stakeholders, it surreptitiously initiated the diagnostics of 81,896 PCOS machines at its warehouse in Laguna. Without the active participation of interest groups, the public will have no way of verifying the truth about these machines. Whatever information comes out to the public is filtered and controlled by the COMELEC.

While the COMELEC claims that 800 of the 8,000 machines already tested had malfunctioning parts that need replacement, we will never know if this is true or not. The COMELEC feeds the public only the information it deems necessary to effect its own malevolent plans.

And then again, like a broken record, Chairman Bautista is promising public consultation with stakeholders regarding the best system to use in 2019. This is exactly the same promise the COMELEC made to the public in the run up to the 2016 elections. It held public consultations only with groups it deems friendly to it and its partner SMARTMATIC like the PPCRV which effectively served at its “deodorant.” It shunned away groups critical of the duo like the AESWatch which is a long-time staunch critic. In front of the cameras, Bautista specifically promised Archbishop Oscar Cruz and the Reform Philippines Coalition that he will present the VCM in a public demonstration to them. He never did.

Additionally, Bautista said the COMELEC is not closed to using other election systems for 2019. This COMELEC mantra is pure baloney. Its Plan A is to continue using the VCMs. But if the protest of BBM succeeds, it will scuttle Plan A. So the COMELEC is preparing for Plan B which is to revive the old PCOS machines. Nevertheless, whether its Plan A or Plan B, the restless ghost of SMARTMATIC will continue to haunt our elections in 2019.

Speaking of ghosts, there are at least 2 formulas in Feng Shui that deals with ghosts. One is the called Wu Gui or 5 Ghosts which brings empty hopes and disturbances to those afflicted. The other is called 5 Ghosts Carry Wealth which brings money and wealth to those who correctly apply its very complex formula.

In a way, Bautista and his COMELEC are now conjuring the very complex formula of the 5 Ghosts Carry Wealth in time for the 2019 elections to bring money and wealth to the syndicate. But the same 5 Ghosts will only bring empty hopes and disturbances to the voting public because they will only be used as mere props in yet another farce elections in 2019.
