Dear Aling Leni: You have a very real interest in the speedy disposition of the protest case against you. If you really won and you can prove it, as you claim, then you should be the one calling for a recount ASAP. Your legitimacy will be upheld and no one will question it anymore once the PET says you are the real winner.

So quit dicking around with dilatory tactics. Your lawyers are doing you a huge disservice by delaying the resolution of the Marcos protest.

Unless, of course, you know you cheated and that you will lose in a recount. In which case, yes, keep on delaying and postponing, in the hope that a resolution of the protest will come only after you have stepped down.
