On Vogue Bourgeoisie Fad Laws
I get the same feeling whenever I hear Risa Hontiveros talk. Why does it seem like she is proposing laws for New York City instead of the Philippines? Why does it seem like a pandering to emotional issues, instead of a rational assessment of urgent local needs? Are we guided too much by "what is uso in the States?" Parang carryover ng out-of-touch sensibilities ng previous administration yah, ah. Risa sounds like Leni, but in the Senate.
How do you even enforce a law against "catcalling?" Of course, everybody wants protection and empowerment of women, but silly, ambiguous, unnecessary laws only make our legal and justice system harder to implement.
